Diversity discussions at Wheelock, I’ve noticed, are nearly always targeted towards African-Americans groups. The campus needs to realize that diversity is not just black and white, but it is also Middle-Eastern, and Dominican, and different struggles outside of African-American oppression. Also, a lot of the students at Wheelock come from financially stable homes, it’s important to realize that diversity also includes class and income levels of the students that go to Wheelock.
