Wheelock College tends to blur the lines between color and race. When coming to Wheelock I was excited, hoping there would be a group or class to help further my knowledge/education on my own ethnical background (as a Brazilian) and I was very disappointed that there is the issue of color. As I do have “white” skin and I feel as if I am looked at as someone who doesn’t understand and who doesn’t feel like they fit in. I think Wheelock needs to understand that race and color are two different things.
