A lot of what I see on campus reflects ideas of cliques and groups. It is natural to be friends with people that are like you in many aspects. This can mean hanging out with people in the same program as you, or have the same interests as you. In these cases the cliques are more diverse....
Wheelock, in my opinion, has some aspects of diversity on campus, but are more associated for having cliques. These cliques can be found or seen throughout the cafeteria. Also, the diverse groups on campus are the students that break cliques and affiliate themselves towards other students....
As a member of the Gay Community, I feel as though Wheelock should have a warmer welcoming to the LGBTQ Community. The club here, GSA (Gay Straight Alliance), is a clique and probably not something people will want to go to. It needs to be open, not in a clique form.

To me, it seems that there are two or three types of groups at Wheelock: the partiers, the activists, and those in-between who are just at school to do school. There isn't a lot of opportunity for those of us who identify as “floaters” to interact with each...
